Meet Dr. Shane Cole Dr. Shane Cole is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and entrepreneur based in Frisco and Fort Worth, TX. With a passion for guiding patients from their most challenging moments back to health, Dr. Cole leads teams committed to delivering exceptional care. He currently serves as the Managing Partner of University Urgent Care, CEO and Medical Director of iCare ER & Urgent Care in Frisco and Fort Worth, and CEO of Woodbridge Emergency Medical Staffing Group. With nearly nearly 2 decades of clinical experience in major metropolitan hospital emergency rooms, Dr. Cole has been recognized with the Vitals.com "Patients' Choice Award" and "On-Time Doctor Award" in 2014 and 2015. Skills & Specialties Dr. Cole is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and specializes in treating patients involved in accidents, injuries, and trauma. He is an active member of The American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Education & Training Dr. Cole earned his medical degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA, and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of South Carolina at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC. He holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Pediatric Life Support, and Basic Life Support. Personal Dr. Cole and his wife, Brandi, moved to the Fort Worth, TX area eight years ago when he joined a democratic group of emergency physicians in Arlington, TX. They now have four dogs and are eagerly expecting their first child. Dr. Cole is also a licensed pilot and general aviation enthusiast—just mention anything about airplanes, and you’re sure to spark a conversation!
